Teacher of Physical Education – 1.0 FTE

This is a unique opportunity for a teacher of physical education to join a growing UTC.
The ideal candidate will have an excellent knowledge and understanding of physical education/sport. You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students, equipping them with the skills and characteristics needed to ensure they are at the front of the queue for the best apprenticeships and university places. This role is suitable for ECTs or experienced teachers.
The Engineering UTC is a 13-19 school (PAN 600) in Scunthorpe town centre which is supported by an impressive list of local, regional, national and multi-national companies and by educationalists with a track record of success. Our core partners include: Phillips 66, Orsted, University of Hull, Tronox, Care Plus Group, ABP and British Steel.
The curriculum and facilities are designed to meet the needs of the local labour market. As well as providing students with a high level of skills, the curriculum is our specialisms of Engineering and Health Sciences underpins the learning in the main STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths), with Science providing our students with the skills our local business partners require.
The UTC curriculum and ethos enables students to become confident and independent through active and experiential learning. The UTC day mirrors that of the workplace, and we have created a high-level professional environment where relationships are at the heart of everything we do.
We are an Ofsted Good school and on a fast-paced trajectory of continuous school improvement.
